Camila Vallejo

I'm constantly writing little notes on my phone, usually the names of artists, songs, artworks and what not, that I saw at the moment and want to remember for later.

I was looking through those notes and came across this name. Camila Vallejo.

I remember killing time at a newsagency at an airport, very possibly at a German airport looking at the above picture, and remember seeing a photo of this cool girl and jotting down her name, thinking that she was a model or celebrity.

Finally I got around to googling who she was and I'm very surprised to find out that Camila Vallejo is in fact a Chilean student activist. You can find out more about her here.

Funny isn't it.

You really can't judge a person on first impressions.

I'm a big fan of Skins.
Been following the show since the first season, with the first cast.
I know a lot of people have said the second group of Skins cast
were'nt as great as the first (I so miss Cassie)
but I really did like Effy's character.
She was so dark and mysterious and I just wanted to give her a big hug.
The fourth season of Skins was a big dramatic
but I still can't wait for
the fifth season!

DAUL KIM

I haven't been buying magazines lately
but I went and bought this
because DAUL was on the cover.
And she was the main featured interview.
Little did I know that this would be one of her last editorials.
I'm glad I bought it when I did.
The magazine has become more special to me now.

RIP DAUL KIM

Today, my inspiration
DAUL KIM
was found dead in her apartment.
*I'm so in shock at the sudden news. And so sad too.
I follow her blog everyday
and comment on it from time to time.
And I always saw her as my inspiration.

*When I first got my bangs
I didn't know what to do with them.
And so I decided to grow up hair because I was lazy to cut it.
And then I decided, well I'll just keep growing
my hair with bangs like
Daul's old (& signature) hair.

And I admired her.
First on a superficial level because she was living that glamourous life
of a model that everybody wants.
But mainly because she seemed like such a free soul
letting her emotions out in creative and poetic ways.

THE DAULMONSTER

RIP DAUL KIM

Mr Sheffield!

Been watching old episodes of 'The Nanny'
And Fran Drescher is so funny!
They seriously had one of the best costumes on tv.
The most amazing jackets, skirts and dress in the most wildest patterns.
The quality of the pictures are quite bad,
but the last picture is from the episode
when Maxwell asks Fran to sign a prenup.
She wore this dress
that had on it
the wrappers of different chocolates
like M&Ms, Hersheys etc.
Kind of reminded me of Project Runway when they
try to make clothes out of food.
And once they used lollies
and someone made a dress out of chocolate wrappers.

Julia Roberts

I love Julia Roberts.
She and Kate Winslet are my favourite female actresses.

She was sweet as Anna in Notting Hill.
The song 'She' is still my fav.
I alwasy hum it whenever I see a wooden bench next to a tree.
I love love love her smile - her mouth opens so wide and her teeth always looks so nice. Haha
And her laugh is so addictive.
My absolute favourite 3 seconds of a movie.
When Richard Gere snapped shut the necklace and Julia Roberts cracks up.
